Sir J. Jordan telegraphs that according to report
from His ikjesty's Consul General at Isi-nam-fu two
Indians reported to have been expelled from Japan
arrived there on December 10th. Tron Klao-Chow.
I have informed Japanese inistry for Foreign Af-
fairs who are making enquiries at Japanese ports, Kiao-
Chow and Tsi-man-fu, but profess to disbelieve that
Thakur and Gupta, for whom they state that police are
searching, can have left the country. I have asked
Sir J. Jordan whether the men can be kept under üb.

Gupta, and it is decided to ask Chinese Government to
